Croatian striker Bruno Petković has signed a two-year deal with Alaves, turning down a lucrative offer from Turkey to begin a new chapter in Spain’s top flight.
Bruno Petković, the long-time Dinamo Zagreb striker and Croatian international, is heading to La Liga after signing with Deportivo Alavés.
After his contract with Dinamo expired, the 30-year-old forward took time to weigh his next move. Just a week ago, it appeared he would join Kocaelispor in Turkey on a deal worth over €2 million per season, but Petković ultimately chose a different path.
According to Germanijak, the experienced forward has agreed to a two-year contract with Alaves, marking his first foray into Spanish football and keeping him in the spotlight ahead of Croatia’s upcoming international fixtures.
Petković had a successful stint at Dinamo Zagreb, where he played a key role since arriving in 2019, contributing with goals, assists, and big-match performances in domestic and European competitions.
Now, Petković takes on La Liga — a major step in his career and a move that keeps him firmly in the plans of the Croatian national team.
