Kieran Trippier’s estranged wife Charlotte was left “terrified” after burglars tried to smash through security gates at her £2 million mansion, sparking a police investigation.
Kieran Trippier’s estranged wife, Charlotte, has been left shaken after an attempted ram raid at her £2 million home in an upmarket area of England. The incident occurred when burglars tried to use a vehicle to break through her property’s electronic security gates, but failed to gain entry.
According to The Sun, the assailants also attempted to force the gates open with tools before fleeing the scene. Local police have confirmed they are investigating “suspicious activity” and are reviewing nearby CCTV footage to identify the suspects.
A source close to Charlotte described the terrifying ordeal: “It sent chills down her spine. She immediately feared the worst, as it looks as if the burglars tried to ram her gates and force them open. She’s been on edge since police warned residents about burglaries in the area.”
In the aftermath, security at the mansion has been reinforced amid fears the family could be targeted again. Police said in a statement: “We have received a report of suspicious activity at an address and are making enquiries to establish the circumstances.”
Charlotte and Kieran Trippier, who married in 2016 and share three children, are currently finalising their divorce. The split followed reports that the Newcastle United defender had been seen partying with a woman later identified as Frankie Carmichael. Charlotte moved out of their shared home shortly after and has since focused on rebuilding her life.
In a message to her social media followers, Charlotte assured fans she was “fine” despite the difficult period, saying: “I just wanted to let everyone know that I am fine. I’m not ready to talk about my situation yet, but you can get through it. The sparkle does come back.”
Kieran Trippier, 35, remains focused on his career with Newcastle, where he has made over 130 appearances since joining from Atlético Madrid in 2022. The England international, who famously scored in the 2018 World Cup semi-final against Croatia, retired from international duty in 2024 and is set to become a free agent in 2026.
Despite the traumatic incident, sources close to Charlotte say she is determined to protect her family and move forward with her life, supported by loved ones and an increased security presence around her home.
