Cafu compares Lamine Yamal to Neymar and urges Raphinha to give everything for Brazil ahead of the World Cup.
Cafu has shared his views on Barcelona following their elimination from the Champions League, where Atletico Madrid progressed despite the Catalans being considered favorites.
The former Brazilian full-back highlighted two key players, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, as the standout figures in the current Barcelona squad.
He reserved special praise for the teenage sensation, drawing a clear comparison with one of Brazil’s biggest stars.
"They are phenomenal players. Neymar had a very similar style to Yamal in his youth, directness, boldness and, above all, enjoyment of the game," said Cafu.
The comparison reflects both admiration and expectation, as Yamal continues his rapid rise.
Cafu also offered advice to the young Spaniard, focusing on mindset and approach.
"Continue on this path. Don’t think too much. Play with a smile, relax, and enjoy the game. Enjoying the game is key," he added.
Alongside Yamal, Cafu also addressed Raphinha, who recently dealt with injury while on international duty with Brazil.
He defended the winger’s attitude and stressed the importance of commitment to the national team, especially with a major tournament approaching.
"When Brazil calls you, you have to give 100 percent. The World Cup today means only eight matches and there are not many opportunities," Cafu said.
"He has the potential to become world champion. But to achieve that, he will have to dedicate himself completely this summer."
Cafu’s comments underline two different paths. Yamal represents the future, shaped by talent and freedom. Raphinha represents the present, where focus and responsibility will define his success on the biggest stage.
