Spain and England will play the final of the European Championship tonight at 9 PM at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
Both teams, led by coaches Luis de la Fuente and Gareth Southgate, have remained unbeaten in the tournament. Spain triumphed over Croatia, Italy, and Albania in Group B and then eliminated Georgia, Germany, and France in the knockout stage.
On the other hand, England drew with Denmark and Slovenia in Group C, defeated Serbia, and then overcame Slovakia, Switzerland, and the Netherlands in the playoffs. Spain will be chasing their fourth European gold, which would put them ahead of Germany on the all-time list, while England seeks their first.
Kane's Quest for a First Trophy
It is somewhat incredible that 30-year-old Harry Kane, England's captain and all-time leading scorer, still awaits his first major trophy. The Bayern star, considered one of the best strikers of this century, fell short in the Champions League final with Tottenham and in the Euro final with England last time.
"It's no secret that I haven't won a team trophy and each year I am more motivated to change that. On Sunday, I have the opportunity to win one of the biggest trophies you could ever win and make history with my nation. There's no doubt that I would trade everything I've done in my career for one special night and a win in the final," Kane said ahead of the final.
