Carlo Ancelotti has won his 30th trophy as a football manager. On Wednesday evening, his Real Madrid side claimed a 2-0 victory in the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta, further raising the bar for managerial success.
Celebrating in Warsaw marked his fifth UEFA Super Cup title, an achievement unmatched by any other football manager. This count does not include the Super Cup he won as a player with AC Milan in 1990.
Don Carlo remains the most successful manager in the history of the Champions League, having won the title five times—twice with Milan and three times with Real Madrid. Last season, he guided Real to victory over Borussia Dortmund in the final of Europe’s elite competition, and he is once again considered a favorite in the new season.
Ancelotti has won domestic league titles in all five of the world’s top leagues: Serie A, Ligue 1, La Liga, Premier League, and Bundesliga, managing clubs like Milan, PSG, Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich.
