Chelsea is keen on Matt O'Riley, a versatile midfielder born in England, playing for Celtic, and representing Denmark. The 23-year-old is also attracting interest from other top clubs.
Born in England, playing in Scotland, and representing Denmark, the highly-rated Celtic midfielder is attracting interest from several clubs, including Chelsea.
Matt O'Riley has already been linked with Atletico Madrid, Leicester City, Atalanta, Juventus, Southampton, and West Ham this year. Now, it seems Chelsea is also considering him. The 23-year-old, who plays for Scottish giants Celtic, represents Denmark internationally, his mother's homeland.
Celtic expects to make a substantial profit, having signed O'Riley from MK Dons in 2022 for less than two million euros. Today, they could sell him for at least ten times that amount.
It's an intriguing situation, as sources in Scotland suggest O'Riley isn't overly keen on changing clubs this year. However, Celtic wouldn't mind a significant transfer fee.
O'Riley has already made 121 appearances for Celtic, scoring 27 goals and providing 34 assists. He has won the Scottish league title three times and the Scottish Cup twice.
