Cesc Fabregas praised the PSG vs Bayern thriller and believes it signals a shift toward more individual, high-intensity football at the top level.
Cesc Fabregas believes PSG vs Bayern was not only spectacular, but also a glimpse into the future of football. The chaotic 5:4 semifinal clash in Paris left a strong impression across Europe, and the Spanish coach followed every detail closely.
The dust has still not fully settled after the incredible battle between PSG and Bayern Munich, a match filled with goals, intensity, and constant attacking intent. With the return leg still to come, expectations are already high.
For Fabregas, the experience was unforgettable.
“I think I watched the best match of my life! If I were the coach of PSG or Bayern, I would probably suffer a bit, but as a fan, I enjoyed it a lot!”
The Como coach went further and explained what impressed him the most.
“The match showed that football is moving in an interesting direction. I didn’t see many collective tactical structures, but I saw a lot of individual quality. There was a lot of pressing, many one-on-one situations, and we are also trying to follow that direction,” he said.
Fabregas is gaining attention across Europe.
The former midfielder of Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea, and Monaco is doing strong work with Como in Serie A. He was already linked with bigger clubs last year, and the same story is repeating now.
It will be interesting to see whether he decides to take the next step, especially at the club where he ended his playing career and began his coaching journey.
Como are still in the fight for the Champions League.
With four rounds left in the season, they sit in fifth place, just three points behind Juventus. The race is tight, and Fabregas is right in the middle of it.
