Chelsea have officially offered €35 million for Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, but Dortmund want more. Talks are ongoing, with a return to England looking increasingly likely for the young winger.

Chelsea have made their move for Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, submitting an official bid of €35 million to Borussia Dortmund. The German club reportedly value the English winger at closer to €40–45 million, but negotiations are expected to continue.

Bynoe-Gittens, a former Manchester City and Reading academy player, joined Dortmund in 2020 and has flourished in the Bundesliga. The 19-year-old scored 12 goals and provided five assists across all competitions this season, making him one of the most exciting young English talents abroad.

He has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea in principle, with a seven-year contract lined up, in line with the long-term deals the London club now regularly offers to young players.

Interestingly, Bynoe-Gittens briefly spent time at Chelsea earlier in his youth career before spells at Reading and Manchester City. A return to Stamford Bridge would mark a full-circle moment for the London-born talent.

The winger had also attracted interest from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, but Chelsea are now leading the race. Dortmund are open to selling but only at the right price, meaning the final fee could surpass €40 million once negotiations are complete.
