Chelsea stars, including Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella, faced controversy after a trip to Madrid, with fresh transfer talk and social media posts drawing attention.
Marc Cucurella and his partner have drawn attention after sharing photos from a recent trip to Madrid alongside several Chelsea teammates.
Claudia Rodríguez posted images on Instagram showing herself with Cucurella, as well as group shots featuring Enzo Fernandez, Joao Pedro, and their partners during the visit to the Spanish capital.
The group also attended the Madrid Open, with one photo capturing them courtside near Jude Bellingham. His brother Jobe Bellingham.
Rodríguez shared glimpses of the trip, including travel on a private jet alongside Valentina Cervantes and Khadije Skandar. She captioned the post simply: “Madrid”, followed by a white heart emoji.
The timing of the trip raised questions. It came shortly after Fernandez spoke openly about his admiration for the city and his desire to live there, linking him with Real Madrid.
Those comments led to internal consequences, with then-manager Liam Rosenior reportedly suspending the midfielder for two matches.
The short break followed Chelsea’s FA Cup semi-final win over Leeds United, with interim coach Calum McFarlane allowing players time off.
Fernandez proved decisive at Wembley, scoring the winning goal with a header in the 23rd minute.
Despite speculation, his agent Javier Pastore has dismissed talk of a summer move to Real Madrid.
Joao Pedro also faces an uncertain future. The Brazilian forward has attracted interest from Barcelona, less than a year after his £60 million move to Stamford Bridge.
The Spanish club view him as an alternative to Julian Alvarez, with reports suggesting they are willing to spend up to £85 million to secure a key attacking target.
