Chelsea's Conor Gallagher close to joining Atletico Madrid

Aston Villa and Tottenham have shown interest in Conor Gallagher, who is no longer a priority at Chelsea and is available for transfer. However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Atletico Madrid is highly determined to sign the English midfielder.

The 24-year-old midfielder, a Chelsea academy product, is now seriously considering a move to the Spanish club.

According to Romano, the financial package involved could bring Chelsea between 35 and 40 million euros in transfer fees.

In addition to Chelsea, Gallagher has played on loan for Charlton, Swansea City, West Bromwich, and Crystal Palace.
