Chelsea have joined the growing race for 15-year-old Manchester United sensation JJ Gabriel, who is already attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Manchester United are facing a growing battle to keep one of the most exciting young talents at Old Trafford, with Chelsea now showing serious interest in teenage sensation JJ Gabriel.
Gabriel is only 15 years old, but his performances have already attracted attention far beyond Manchester. Despite competing against significantly older players, he was named the U18 Premier League Player of the Season for 2025/26 following an outstanding campaign.
His rapid development has now put some of the biggest clubs in European football on alert.

According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea have shown strong interest in Gabriel and are closely monitoring his situation at Manchester United.
The London club is far from alone. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham have all reportedly shown interest in the highly-rated teenager.
Manchester United are well aware of the growing attention surrounding their young star and are already working on a plan to secure his long-term future at Old Trafford.
There is confidence within the club that Gabriel will remain in Manchester despite the enormous list of clubs interested in signing him.
When Gabriel turns 16, he will be eligible to sign scholarship terms with United. The club is also looking to put a pre-contract agreement in place for the professional contract he would eventually sign.
JJ Gabriel has already made Manchester United history
Gabriel's rise through the ranks has been extraordinary. Earlier in 2025, when he was only 14, he became the youngest footballer to play for Manchester United's Under-18 team.
He continued his development during the following season and finished the 2025/26 campaign by winning the club's U18 Player of the Season award.
The youngster has already taken another major step. Gabriel was given an opportunity with the senior team during pre-season and came off the bench against Atletico Madrid in Stockholm.
By making that appearance, the 15-year-old became the youngest player ever to represent Manchester United's first team.
United's priority is now to ensure that Gabriel continues his development in Manchester and eventually establishes himself in the senior squad.
Chelsea's interest provides further evidence of just how highly the teenager is rated outside Old Trafford. With many of Europe's biggest clubs watching closely, Manchester United face an important battle to secure the future of one of their brightest young talents.
