Deportivo La Coruña has turned down a €15 million bid from Chelsea for Yeremay, with the club securing the young star's commitment until 2030.
Yeremay is staying at Deportivo La Coruña, despite strong interest from Chelsea and their affiliated club, Strasbourg, under the BlueCo group led by Todd Boehly. The Galician club confirmed the player's commitment after rejecting a €15 million offer, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Following the unexpected departure of Lucas Pérez, Deportivo has provided fans with a boost by ensuring Yeremay remains a key figure at Riazor. Chelsea had planned to sign the 22-year-old winger this summer and send him on loan to Strasbourg to continue his development. However, the London club's ambitions were thwarted by Deportivo’s firm stance.
After days of uncertainty, the club’s management successfully persuaded Yeremay, who also received offers from Italian clubs, to stay and continue his career in Spain's Segunda División. Shortly after Romano's report, Deportivo issued an official statement confirming the player's decision to remain with the club.
Yeremay, who is under contract until 2030, has been a standout performer in the 2024-25 season, contributing 8 goals and 3 assists, making him one of the most influential attacking players in the division.
