Hull City have reportedly agreed a €15m deal for 19-year-old Greece international Christos Mouzakitis, taking their recent spending at Olympiacos close to €40m.

Hull City have reportedly reached an agreement with Olympiacos for highly rated Greek midfielder Christos Mouzakitis, continuing an increasingly significant transfer relationship between the two clubs.
According to English reporter Pete O'Rourke, Hull will pay around €15 million for the 19-year-old Greece international. Mouzakitis is regarded as one of Olympiacos' brightest young talents, with Transfermarkt currently valuing the midfielder at €25m.
Despite his age, Mouzakitis has already broken into the Greece senior national team and established himself at first-team level with Olympiacos. Hull appear to view the 180cm midfielder as both an immediate addition and a player with significant long-term potential.
Hull return to Olympiacos after Tzolakis deal
The move is particularly notable because Mouzakitis would become the second major Olympiacos player to join Hull in a short period. Greek goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis previously made the same move after Hull paid Olympiacos a reported €23m, making him the most expensive signing in the English club's history.
Tzolakis has made an impressive start to life in England, with Hull winning their opening two Premier League matches. His early performances appear to have done little to discourage Acun Ilicali's club from returning to Piraeus for another of Greek football's most highly rated young players.
Should the Mouzakitis deal be completed for €15m, Hull's combined spending on the two Olympiacos players would reach approximately €38m.
Mouzakitis has remained involved for Olympiacos at the start of the current campaign, appearing in three of their opening four competitive matches and starting twice. He was named in the starting XI against NEC Nijmegen and Atromitos at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.
Another major investment in Greek talent
O'Rourke reports that an agreement between the clubs has already been reached, leaving the final formalities before Mouzakitis can complete his move to England.
The deal would represent another lucrative sale for Evangelos Marinakis' Olympiacos, while giving Mouzakitis the opportunity to continue his development in the Premier League at only 19.
For Hull, the transfer would provide further evidence of the scale of their ambitions under Acun Ilicali. After investing €23m in Tzolakis, the English club are now prepared to commit another €15m to one of his former Olympiacos team-mates.
Mouzakitis would cost less than Hull's record signing, but a €15m fee would still make him one of the most significant investments in the club's history. More remarkably, two deals alone could see almost €40m move from Hull to Olympiacos, establishing an increasingly important transfer connection between the two clubs.
