FIFA has unveiled new details about the revamped Club World Cup 2025, set to take place in the United States with 32 teams participating. The tournament will introduce a new emblem and the official song, 'Freed from Desire,' marking a new era for international club competitions.
This inaugural edition, running from June 15 to July 13, 2025, will feature teams from the six confederations: AFC, CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL, OFC, and UEFA. FIFA aims to offer more global opportunities to clubs and selections. Currently, 30 of the 32 teams are confirmed, with one remaining from CONMEBOL and one representing the host nation.
FIFA also revealed the new tournament logo, drawing inspiration from the history and culture of football, featuring the initials "C-W-C" for Club World Cup. FIFA President Gianni Infantino highlighted the significance of this rebranded tournament, stating that it marks a new chapter for club football.
