Coleen Rooney has eclipsed husband Wayne's earnings, recording £1.3 million in profit through her brand ventures, TV success, and endorsements, solidifying her role as the Rooney family's new financial powerhouse.
Coleen Rooney has officially stepped out of her husband’s shadow — and into the financial spotlight.
The 39-year-old wife of Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney has seen her earnings soar thanks to brand endorsements, media projects, and her company CWR 2021, which posted a staggering £1.3 million profit for the year ending September 2024. That’s more than triple the previous year’s total — a remarkable leap driven by her expanding commercial profile.
In contrast, Wayne’s income has taken a dip. The former striker, who recently exited his role as manager of Plymouth Argyle, was reportedly earning just £500,000 a year before his December 2024 departure — a sharp fall from his 2014 heyday when he earned roughly £300,000 per week.
Coleen’s star rose even higher following her runner-up finish on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here. Her jungle appearance boosted both her popularity and market value. Some insiders claim her ITV pay cheque approached seven figures, and she’s also raking in revenue from a major deal with health brand Applied Nutrition.
“These earnings show that, even before Coleen signed up for I’m A Celeb, she was already bringing in more money than Wayne,” a financial expert told The Sun. “Her jungle success only added rocket fuel to her brand.”
And now, Disney+ is cashing in on the public’s fascination with the Rooney household by launching a new documentary series, *The Rooneys*. The show will follow Coleen as she juggles her growing business empire while Wayne focuses more on family life — a reversal of roles few could have predicted just a few years ago.
Coleen’s rise is far from over. With new projects, high-profile endorsements, and TV deals in the pipeline, she’s quickly becoming the Rooney family’s main breadwinner — and one of the UK’s most unlikely brand success stories.
