Coleen Rooney has reportedly invited Annie Kilner, Kyle Walker’s wife, to appear in her upcoming Disney documentary to help the shy WAG launch a career in television.
Coleen Rooney is set to star in a £10 million Disney+ documentary alongside her husband Wayne Rooney, and she's reportedly hoping to bring Annie Kilner, wife of footballer Kyle Walker, along for the ride.
The project, billed as a fly-on-the-wall “At Home With” series, will focus on Coleen’s family life with Wayne and their four sons, but producers are said to want to widen the scope by featuring some of her close friends—including Annie.
A source told Heat: “Filming for the new Disney series starts soon… Producers think having friends like Annie involved will generate even more interest, so they’re trying to persuade her to get on board.”
Kilner has grown close to the Rooneys in recent years and even spent time with them during a trip to Dubai earlier this year. Coleen reportedly sees the show as the perfect launchpad for her friend’s potential TV career.
“Annie is quite shy, but Coleen has helped her boost her confidence over the past few years,” the source added. “Annie looks up to her a lot, and Coleen knows it would be a great opportunity for both of them.”
Kilner’s personal life has been the subject of intense media attention, especially after Walker fathered two children with ex-Love Island star Lauryn Goodman. Now, the idea of Kilner appearing on-screen could allow her to tell her side of the story.
In fact, she’s already rumoured to be in talks for a reality show of her own, focused on her new life in Italy, as husband Kyle Walker plays for AC Milan on loan.
“A TV show could be a good way for her to control her narrative,” the source said. “People have all these opinions about her and the situation with Kyle. This is her chance to speak for herself.”
If Kilner agrees to appear even briefly in Coleen’s series, it could be the first step in her transition from private WAG to public personality.
