Cristiano Ronaldo has shut down transfer rumours and confirmed he will stay at Al Nassr, ending speculation about a potential move ahead of the Club World Cup.
Cristiano Ronaldo has ended weeks of speculation about his club future following Portugal’s Nations League triumph, confirming that he will remain with Al Nassr.
After hinting at a potential departure with a cryptic message on social media — “This chapter is over. The story continues. I am grateful for your support.” — rumours exploded, with many believing Ronaldo was seeking a club that would participate in the upcoming Club World Cup.
However, speaking to Sport TV after Portugal's penalty shootout victory over Spain, Ronaldo clarified his position. When asked about his future, he said:
“My future? Nothing will change. Al Nassr? Yes...”
While not overly emphatic, the statement made it clear that the 39-year-old five-time Ballon d'Or winner plans to continue his career in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022 and has scored an impressive 93 goals in 105 matches across all competitions. His stay confirms he won’t be joining another club just to feature in the Club World Cup, despite earlier reports linking him with a short-term switch.
