Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly received an offer from John Textor’s Botafogo, including a Club World Cup appearance and a chance to become co-owner of a global football holding group.
Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly considering a lucrative and strategic offer from American billionaire John Textor, which could see him extend his career and simultaneously step into the world of football ownership.
The 39-year-old Portuguese icon, whose contract with Al Nassr ends this summer, is determined to continue playing. A major opportunity has emerged thanks to a special FIFA transfer window from June 1–10, allowing teams in the Club World Cup to register new players.
According to Brazilian media, Textor – owner of Botafogo and founder of Eagle Football Holdings – has offered Ronaldo a dual proposal: play for Botafogo in the Club World Cup and become a co-owner in his football empire.
Eagle Football Holdings also owns Lyon in France, a stake in Crystal Palace, Belgian club Molenbeek, and FC Florida in the United States. Ronaldo’s inclusion would not only boost the brand, but align with his long-standing desire to transition into club ownership.
Such a move would offer Ronaldo both sporting relevance in a historic FIFA competition and a key role in the business side of football – a career move he has been eyeing for years.
