Cristiano Ronaldo opened up about his future in an interview with Telefoot, discussing the possibility of playing at the 2026 World Cup and his dream of sharing the pitch with his son.
Cristiano Ronaldo continues to defy time, proving at 40 years old that he still has the hunger and physical condition to compete at the highest level. In an interview with Telefoot, the Al Nassr star spoke about his future, his ambition to play in the 2026 World Cup, and the dream of sharing the pitch with his son.
Regarding his potential participation in the next World Cup, Ronaldo made it clear that his decision will depend on his condition and the needs of the national team. "It wouldn't be fair of me to say that I'm missing a World Cup title to say that I've been successful in my career. When the next World Cup comes around, if I am still physically and mentally fit and if the national team needs my services, I will be available for it," he stated.
One of the most intriguing topics discussed was the possibility of playing alongside his son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., who is currently 14 years old and developing as a footballer. "I would like to play with my 14-year-old son, but we'll see. It depends more on me than on him," Ronaldo admitted.
In a recent conversation with Canal 11, Ronaldo also addressed the topic of retirement, showing that he is still driven by passion for the game. "I like to play, I know there will be an end. In one, two or three years, I don't know. I don't care. Passion is still the most important thing. Before a game, I always have a knot in my stomach, I always have that adrenaline that rises and makes me sweat. I still feel that, and it's that passion that still drives me to play."
For now, Ronaldo remains focused on his performances with Al Nassr and his continued commitment to football, keeping fans wondering just how long he will continue at the top level.
