The Saudi giants lost 1-0 at home against Japanese side Gamba Osaka, despite entering the match as overwhelming favorites.
The financial difference between the two clubs only increased the shock surrounding the result. Al Nassr’s squad is reportedly worth almost ten times more than the Japanese side competing in the J-1 League.
For Ronaldo, the defeat represented another painful missed opportunity to win his first trophy since arriving in Saudi Arabia in 2023.
