Croatian goalkeeper Ivo Grbić leaves Sheffield United for a loan spell at Rizespor in Turkey after struggling in England, where he conceded 30 goals in 10 matches.
Ivo Grbić, the Croatian national team goalkeeper, has left Sheffield United just half a year after signing with the club. According to Turkish insider Yagız Sabuncuoglu, Grbić has opted for a loan move to Rizespor in Turkey.
Grbić joined Sheffield United for €2.5 million from Atletico Madrid, where he struggled to find playing time due to the presence of Jan Oblak. However, his time in England didn’t go as planned, as he conceded 30 goals in 10 matches, contributing to his club’s relegation.
Now, the 27-year-old goalkeeper is looking for a fresh start in the Turkish Super Lig, an increasingly popular destination for footballers seeking to revive their careers.
