Arsenal twice let their lead slip in a 2–2 draw with Crystal Palace, meaning Liverpool now need just one more point to seal the Premier League title.
Arsenal missed the chance to delay Liverpool’s title coronation after a dramatic 2–2 draw with Crystal Palace at the Emirates. The result leaves the Reds needing just one more point to secure the Premier League trophy.
With tension high in north London, the Gunners struck early. In the third minute, Jakub Kiwior headed Arsenal in front after a well-delivered set piece. But Palace responded brilliantly with a clever corner routine finished by Eberechi Eze in the 27th minute.
Just before half-time, Leandro Trossard restored Arsenal’s lead, gliding past two defenders and slotting past the keeper for 2–1. It looked like Arsenal might hold on—until a moment of brilliance from Jean-Philippe Mateta.
With just seven minutes remaining, Mateta capitalised on a defensive lapse, lobbing David Raya from distance to silence the Emirates and seal a share of the points.
That late goal means Liverpool now need just a single point to clinch the title, and they’ll have their chance on Sunday against Tottenham at Anfield. With the crowd behind them and silverware in sight, the Premier League trophy may be on the move to Merseyside once again.
