DJ Tiësto, one of the world’s most famous electronic music artists, is financially supporting NAC Breda by funding stadium renovations and helping promote the struggling Eredivisie club.

DJ Tiësto, known globally for his trailblazing electronic music career, has stepped in to support his hometown football club NAC Breda. The 56-year-old Dutch DJ — whose real name is Tijs Verwest — is helping the club overcome financial troubles by contributing to the renovation of its stadium and pitch.

The renovation work is set to begin at the end of the current season and will include an additional 1,500 seats and a full pitch upgrade. To celebrate Tiësto’s involvement, NAC Breda will also launch a special edition jersey inspired by the artist.

Tiësto is not just offering financial help. With tens of millions of followers on X, Instagram, and Facebook, he’s also using his massive global influence to promote the club. His support is expected to bring much-needed attention and sponsorship opportunities to the Dutch side.

NAC Breda are currently struggling in the Eredivisie, sitting 15th out of 18 after eight rounds, having already suffered five defeats. After the international break, they will face PEC Zwolle in what could be a crucial match in their fight to climb up the table.

Despite their struggles, Tiësto’s backing is seen as a major boost. The DJ’s estimated fortune of €170 million makes him one of the wealthiest music artists in the world — and now one of the most influential figures supporting Dutch football.
