A packed football Sunday includes Juventus chasing Champions League qualification, Casemiro’s farewell at Old Trafford, and Jan Oblak battling for minutes at Atletico Madrid.

A busy football Sunday awaits across Europe as several clubs continue chasing important objectives before the season ends.

Juventus vs Fiorentina (12:00)

The battle for Champions League qualification in Serie A remains open despite Inter already securing the league title.

Juventus currently sit third and remain under pressure from both Milan and Roma. The Turin giants hold only a one-point advantage over fourth place and know victory against Fiorentina would move them closer to securing a return to Europe’s elite competition.

Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest (13:30)

Manchester United play their final home match of the season at Old Trafford.

Slovenian striker Benjamin Šeško is still struggling with injury problems, so he is not expected to feature today despite remaining United’s top scorer this season with 11 goals.

The club has already secured qualification for next season’s Champions League, allowing supporters to focus on an emotional farewell for Casemiro, who is expected to leave after four years at the club.

United’s opponents will be Nottingham Forest, where former Slovenian international Miran Pavlin has been working during the last two years.

Atletico Madrid vs Girona (19:00)

Atletico Madrid have already secured their place in next season’s Champions League, but attention is now turning toward the goalkeeping situation involving Jan Oblak.

The Slovenian goalkeeper no longer appears untouchable after returning from injury problems.

Juan Musso, previously used mainly in cup matches, has recently received more opportunities in La Liga. He even started Atletico’s last league match.

Coach Diego Simeone recently confirmed he plans to continue rotating his goalkeepers until the end of the season.

That creates a new situation for Oblak, who for years had complete security as Atletico’s undisputed number one.

Now the big question ahead of tonight’s match against Girona is simple, will Oblak return to the starting lineup?
