Portugal international Danilo Pereira has officially signed for Al Ittihad from Paris Saint-Germain, joining N’Golo Kanté in the Saudi club's midfield.
Danilo Pereira, a key figure in PSG's midfield for the past four years, has completed his move to Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, according to the club’s official announcement. Fabrizio Romano reports that the transfer fee was €5 million, paid to PSG.
Pereira leaves behind a successful stint in Paris, where he won three Ligue 1 titles, two French Cups, and previously captured two Portuguese league titles. He also added international accolades with Portugal, including victories in the European Championship and the Nations League.
The 31-year-old defensive midfielder has had an interesting career path, starting in Estoril, moving to Benfica's academy, and later joining Parma in Italy. During his time at Parma, he was loaned out to Aris Thessaloniki in Greece, before ultimately making his mark in France with PSG.
