Danilo’s agent criticizes Juventus’ leadership, suggesting Thiago Motta’s departure is imminent, as the Brazilian captain nears a move to Napoli.
Danilo Luiz da Silva, Juventus’ experienced Brazilian full-back and captain of the Brazilian national team, is on the verge of leaving the club. The 33-year-old is reportedly negotiating a contract termination to facilitate a move to Napoli during the current season.
Tensions within Juventus are running high, as Danilo has fallen out of favor under coach Thiago Motta, losing his place in the team. Despite making 16 appearances and providing one assist in Serie A this season, the situation has escalated to the point where Danilo’s exit appears inevitable.
The controversy intensified following a comment by Bruno Misorelli, Danilo’s agent, under a social media post discussing the potential contract termination. Misorelli stated:
"Yes, it’s true. Cristiano Giuntoli is also preparing the groundwork for the departure of coach Thiago Motta!"
Although the comment was later deleted, screenshots had already gone viral, spreading rapidly among fans and media. Misorelli’s remarks highlight his dissatisfaction with Juventus’ sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, and his lack of support for coach Thiago Motta, fueling further uncertainty about the club’s internal dynamics.
Danilo joined Juventus in 2019 and has previously played for Santos, Porto, Real Madrid, and Manchester City. Misorelli’s public criticism of the club’s leadership and coaching decisions could accelerate Juventus’ decision to terminate Danilo’s contract.
As the situation unfolds, Danilo seems poised to start a new chapter with Napoli, leaving behind a turbulent period in Turin.
