Liverpool striker Darwin Núñez is open to joining Al-Hilal after a disappointing season. The Saudi club has not yet submitted an official offer.

Darwin Núñez is reportedly open to joining Al-Hilal after a challenging season under new Liverpool manager Arne Slot, according to Foot Mercato. While the Saudi club has not yet submitted an official bid, contacts have already been made to persuade the striker to make the switch to the Saudi Pro League.

The 24-year-old forward has struggled to meet expectations since arriving from Benfica in 2022 in a deal worth £85 million (approximately €100 million). Over two seasons, Núñez has scored 40 goals in 143 appearances across all competitions—a return considered underwhelming by many at Anfield.

The report suggests that Slot, who took over from Jürgen Klopp this summer, does not see Núñez as central to his plans and is open to letting the striker leave if the right offer comes in.
