Darwin Núñez is expected to leave Liverpool this summer after struggling to make a consistent impact, with Napoli, Atletico Madrid and Al Hilal all interested in the Uruguayan forward.
Everything indicates that Darwin Núñez will leave Liverpool this summer, bringing an end to an underwhelming spell at Anfield. Signed for €85 million, the 25-year-old failed to consistently justify his price tag.
Despite becoming a Premier League champion this season, Núñez started only 21 percent of league matches under Arne Slot. With the Dutch coach showing limited faith in the striker, it seems likely that Liverpool will seek to offload him ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Atletico Madrid have reportedly shown interest in bringing Núñez back to La Liga, while Napoli are also keen. The Italian champions are said to believe that Antonio Conte, who is expected to lead them into the next season, could be the coach to truly "unlock" Núñez's potential.
Meanwhile, Saudi giants Al Hilal remain in the mix. With money no object, they are prepared to add another marquee name to their growing collection of European stars if Núñez prioritises a big contract over top-level football.
Napoli have had success with players from the Premier League in recent seasons and are also closely linked with a move for Kevin De Bruyne. Should both transfers materialise, it would mark a dramatic summer rebuild for the club from southern Italy.
