Romeo Beckham takes the Paris Fashion Week runway by storm after deciding to leave professional football.
David Beckham has praised his son Romeo following his catwalk appearance for Balenciaga during Paris Fashion Week. The former Brentford B team player made the decision to retire from professional football just a month ago to pursue a career in modelling.
Despite being offered a senior contract by Brentford, the 22-year-old opted to leave the sport and focus on his modelling ambitions, a passion he cultivated through both his father and his mother, Victoria Beckham. Romeo made a stunning debut on the Balenciaga runway, dressed in loose-fitting pants and a blue-striped polo shirt, paired with visor-style sunglasses and silver moon boots.
His father, Manchester United legend and Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham, proudly shared the moment on Instagram, writing: “Proud of you mate, well done, Romeo Beckham.”
Romeo, who previously played for Inter Miami's reserve side, has recently signed with prestigious Parisian fashion agency Safe Management, further committing to his new career. His love for fashion began at a young age, accompanying his mother on photo shoots and interacting with top designers. Romeo has also been a regular attendee of the British Fashion Awards over the years.
