Kevin De Bruyne enjoyed family time in Ibiza with wife Michele Lacroix as the Belgian star prepares for the World Cup after a difficult season in Italy.
Kevin De Bruyne is enjoying some well-earned rest before returning to international duty with Belgium.
The former Manchester City star was spotted relaxing in Ibiza alongside his wife Michele Lacroix, as the couple enjoyed time together during the offseason.
The Belgian midfielder and his longtime partner spent time near the popular beach club Casa Jondal, cooling off in the sea during the warm Mediterranean weather.
De Bruyne wore grey swim shorts and sunglasses, while Michele opted for a black bikini as the pair enjoyed a relaxed day on the Balearic island.
Ibiza has become a familiar destination for the couple over the years.
The island has often served as their preferred escape during breaks from football, and De Bruyne has previously spent holidays there with fellow football stars.
This year's vacation carries extra importance.
The 34-year-old recently completed a difficult first season with Napoli, where injuries limited his impact.
A persistent hamstring problem restricted him to only 21 appearances in all competitions, making recovery and rest a priority before the summer tournament.
Attention will soon switch back to football.
Belgium's World Cup schedule:
• vs Egypt, June 15
• vs Iran, June 21
• vs New Zealand, June 26
For De Bruyne, the tournament could represent another important chapter in an extraordinary international career.
Off the pitch, stability has remained constant.
De Bruyne and Michele began dating in 2014 while he played for Wolfsburg in Germany.
The pair married in 2017 and now have three children together: Mason Milian, Rome and daughter Suri.
For now, though, football is temporarily on hold.
Ibiza, sunshine and family time appear to be the final preparation before another major tournament begins.
