Dinamo Zagreb's interest in Juan Cordoba has become a hot topic in Colombian football. Despite Dinamo's €1.5 million offer, Deportivo Cali values the winger at a minimum of €5 million, which complicates the potential transfer.

Dinamo Zagreb's interest in Juan Cordoba, a 22-year-old right winger from Deportivo Cali, has become one of the hot topics in Colombian football. Cordoba, who might soon receive a call-up to Colombia's senior national team, has caught the eye of Dinamo's management following failed negotiations with Šotiček (though that story isn't completely over).

Cordoba, a left-footed player who primarily plays on the right wing but can operate on both flanks, is now a prime target for Dinamo.

Dinamo has made an offer of €1.5 million for Cordoba, and a response from the Colombians is expected in the coming days. However, Dinamo won't wait too long, as there are other options and potential reinforcements for this position.

Cordoba's potential transfer is a hot topic in Colombia, but not because of Dinamo's offer. Instead, there's talk about a possible move to Atletico Nacional, a club from Cordoba's hometown of Medellin. Reportedly, Atletico Nacional offered Deportivo one million dollars (approximately one million euros) for Cordoba and proposed to forgive about half a million in debt that Deportivo owes from a previous deal.

They also offered a percentage of the next transfer. Deportivo, however, immediately rejected Atletico's offer, stating that their priority is an international transfer.

This is good news for Dinamo, as Cordoba is reportedly very eager to move to Europe, having already turned down offers from MLS and other non-European leagues.

The bad news for Dinamo is that Deportivo Cali's leadership has unofficially stated they don't want to let Cordoba go for less than €5 million. Despite his contract expiring next year, they might even offer him a new deal.

The difference between €5 million and €1.5 million is significant, and even if Dinamo and Deportivo meet halfway, it would still be a challenge. However, this might be a tactic to reject Atletico's offer, and perhaps different rules apply to offers from Europe.

Cordoba is "on fire," young and promising, and South American clubs always aim to maximize their earnings on such players.
