Diletta Leotta has shared heartwarming news with her followers — she and her husband, Loris Karius, are expecting their second child.
The Italian sports journalist and the Newcastle United goalkeeper announced the pregnancy on Instagram with a touching message and a family photo featuring their daughter, Aria.
“We couldn’t have asked for a nicer gift this Christmas. Aria is becoming an older sister, and our hearts are ready to love twice as much,” wrote Leotta, sparking thousands of congratulatory comments from fans and friends.
Leotta, one of Italy’s most popular sports presenters, and Karius first met in October 2022 during a dinner in a Paris club during Fashion Week. Their connection was instant — as Leotta later revealed, “When he came in, I said to the girls: ‘The man of my life just came in.’”
The couple welcomed their first child, Aria, on August 16, 2023 — a particularly special day, as it also marked Leotta’s 32nd birthday. They later tied the knot in June 2024 in a romantic ceremony on the island of Vulcano, attended by around 160 guests, including celebrities such as Chiara Ferragni, Elisabetta Canalis, Michelle Hunziker, and Aurora Ramazzotti.
