Dimitri Payet has denied claims of physical and psychological abuse after his ex-lover Larissa Ferrari alleged serious misconduct during their seven-month affair.
Dimitri Payet has officially broken his silence after abuse allegations made by his former lover, Larissa Ferrari, who accused him of physical, psychological, and sexual violence during their relationship.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun on Sunday, the 28-year-old Brazilian lawyer detailed disturbing accusations, claiming Payet forced her into degrading acts and a fake wedding ceremony. She alleged she was made to drink her own urine, lick floors, and wear a ring to “prove her love.”
Larissa shared photos of bruises she says were handed to police, and described the former West Ham and Marseille midfielder as a “sick monster.”
However, according to Brazilian outlet G1, which reviewed Payet’s official statement to police, the 38-year-old denies any non-consensual violence, claiming that all interactions were consensual and mutually agreed upon. Payet reportedly admitted to a seven-month affair during his time playing for Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro, citing loneliness as a factor.
Payet’s legal team insists that leaked confidential documents show “a woman exercising her freedom and will” and that the truth will emerge through evidence.
Larissa, who has spoken openly about her struggles with Borderline Personality Disorder, maintains that Payet manipulated her vulnerabilities and subjected her to emotional and physical trauma.
The affair reportedly began through Instagram messages and developed into regular in-person meetings. Larissa said the relationship turned abusive in December, following an argument triggered by a social media post from her friend involving match tickets given by Payet.
Payet, who has been married to his wife Ludivine for nearly 20 years and shares four children with her, moved to Brazil in 2023. His lawyer expressed confidence that documents and evidence would vindicate Payet against the allegations.
Larissa continues to pursue legal action and says she hopes to help other women who might be suffering in silence.
