In a heartfelt and bold move, Dinamo Zagreb has openly invited Croatian midfield maestro Luka Modrić to consider returning to his roots as he approaches the twilight years of his illustrious career at Real Madrid.

This grand gesture was highlighted by a full-page advertisement in Spain's largest sports newspaper, Marca, underscoring the club's earnest desire to see Modrić don the Dinamo jersey once again.

The ad featured an image of a Dinamo Zagreb jersey with Modrić's name and the number 10, accompanied by the message: "It would make sense." This public invitation, signed by Velimir Zajec, the new president of Dinamo, represents more than just a transfer query; it's a call for a homecoming to the club where Modrić's professional journey began.

Modrić, who left Dinamo Zagreb for Tottenham in 2008 and has since become a legend at Real Madrid, is nearing his 39th birthday. With his contract winding down and his story with the Spanish giants drawing to a close, the prospect of returning to Maksimir Stadium is now being seriously entertained by both parties. Dinamo's initiative, spearheaded by Zajec, aims to tap into the emotional and historical ties Modrić has with the Croatian club.
