According to a family law expert, Annie Kilner is reportedly preparing to divorce Manchester City star Kyle Walker and could walk away with half of his £27 million fortune.
Kilner, 31, is said to be seeking separation following Walker’s relationship with Lauryn Goodman, with whom he fathered two children—Kairo, 4, and Kinara, 1.
Walker’s infidelities have strained his relationship with Kilner, who was reportedly pregnant when she discovered his second child with Goodman. Despite these revelations, Kilner initially stood by her husband. However, she is now said to be working with lawyers to secure a significant share of Walker’s assets.
Kelly Edwards, managing partner of Edwards Family Law, explained that English law typically divides assets acquired during the marriage equally. Edwards stated, “The starting point in English law is that you share equally what has been made during the marriage. The fact they were childhood sweethearts and lived together for a significant period means she is entitled to share in those assets.”
Edwards highlighted that the court would likely view Walker’s fortune as shared between the couple, with Kilner’s role as a homemaker carrying equal weight to Walker’s earnings. She added, “There is no distinction between the breadwinner and homemaker. The fact they have four young children will also have a significant impact on this.”
Kilner and Walker have experienced ups and downs, with Kilner reportedly considering separation on multiple occasions. Following a Boxing Day text from Goodman revealing Walker’s second child, Kilner took time away but later reconciled with him. The couple appeared united in public following a court battle over child maintenance, where a judge criticized Goodman for viewing Walker as an “open-ended chequebook.”
On the divorce timeline, Edwards noted that the minimum period is six months but could extend if disagreements arise over asset division. Edwards remarked, “Court proceedings will only be long and drawn out if they can’t agree on the division or payments. Ultimately, the court's primary concern will be the welfare of their four young children.”
The court will aim to secure a suitable home and income for Kilner and work towards a path to financial independence from Walker.
