Borussia Dortmund’s trip to Zagreb isn’t just about Champions League points. The German club is also accelerating efforts to sign Dinamo’s talented midfielder, Petar Sučić.
Borussia Dortmund has arrived in Zagreb with the primary goal of securing a victory in their fifth Champions League group-stage match. However, according to Italian football insider Gianluca Di Marzio, Dortmund has a secondary mission: preparing a deal to acquire Petar Sučić, Dinamo’s talented midfielder.
Sučić, unfortunately, will miss the match due to a broken metatarsal, which he underwent surgery for earlier this week. Despite his absence, Dortmund is keen to accelerate negotiations for his transfer, ensuring they stay ahead of competing clubs.
"Borussia Dortmund is pushing to speed up the process. The German club has initiated contact with Dinamo, and a meeting between the two sides is expected soon to discuss potential figures. Borussia wants to secure Sučić immediately and outpace the competition. In recent weeks, Fiorentina has also shown interest, but Dinamo’s asking price was deemed too high by the Italian club," reports Di Marzio.
The coming weeks could be pivotal as Borussia looks to add another promising talent to their squad, continuing their tradition of nurturing young stars.
