Serbia coach Dragan Stojković praises Strahinja Pavlović’s transfer to AC Milan, calling him a valuable addition acquired for a bargain.
Dragan Stojković Piksi, the coach of the Serbian national team, has commented on Strahinja Pavlović's move to AC Milan in an interview with "Gazzetta dello Sport".
Pavlović, who transferred from Salzburg to Milan, was advised by Stojković during the transfer process.
“Pavlović is not just a defender, but a true warrior. He will be a great asset for Milan. During the European Championship, he asked me for advice, and I told him that if I were choosing, I would pick Milan. It’s a big club, and Serie A is a university for defenders,” said Stojković.
He also reflected on Pavlović’s career path:
“Pavlović has sacrificed a lot in recent years, especially during his time in France and Belgium when he didn’t get much playtime. He has all the attributes to become an excellent defender, with a strong character. He is outstanding both in defense and open play, and with a superb left foot. Milan acquired him for a ‘bargain’. He will be a fantastic addition,” added Stojković.
