Christophe Dugarry believes PSG will dominate Liverpool in the Champions League, calling the English side “a disaster” and predicting a one-sided first leg.
Christophe Dugarry has delivered a brutal assessment ahead of the Champions League quarter-final between Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.
The former France international and Barcelona striker believes the tie could be decided immediately, with PSG holding a clear advantage.
"To be honest, it will be a walk in the park. Liverpool are simply disastrous. With 14 wins, 10 losses and 7 draws in the league, they are a real disappointment," said Dugarry.
He stressed that the issue is not individual quality, but how the team functions.
"I'm not saying they have bad players, but they don't play as a team. The difference in quality is huge in my opinion. PSG will decide this match in the first leg."
The criticism did not stop there.
Dugarry also questioned Liverpool’s style of play.
"Have you even watched Liverpool? It's a complete disaster! They have nothing. They're technically good, they're not clumsy, but they play at a snail's pace."
On the other side, he sees PSG as a team in strong form.
"When you see the intensity of PSG, their mental strength and everything they've built... these two teams are incomparable. It's going to be a total massacre!"
He also pointed to recent results as further proof of the gap between the teams.
"Just look - they conceded four goals against Manchester City. In the second half of the season, form is key."
The strong words add extra tension ahead of the clash, with Liverpool now facing pressure to respond on the pitch.
Whether Dugarry’s prediction proves accurate or fuels a reaction remains to be seen.
