Dušan Vlahović has reportedly contacted Juventus to reopen contract talks and is willing to accept a significantly reduced salary.

Just one week after becoming a free agent,
Dušan Vlahović has reportedly made a dramatic U-turn by contacting
Juventus in an effort to revive negotiations over a new contract.
According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, the Serbia international personally reached out to the Turin club and expressed his willingness to return under terms that would now be dictated by Juventus.
A complete change of direction
For more than a year, Juventus tried unsuccessfully to persuade Vlahović to extend his contract.
Negotiations continued throughout June but ultimately collapsed, allowing the former Partizan striker to leave the club when his deal expired on 30 June.
At the time, his departure appeared final.
However, the transfer market has reportedly produced an unexpected reality.
Despite being available on a free transfer, Europe's biggest clubs have yet to make a concrete move for the striker.
Besiktas the only concrete option
According to the report, Beşiktaş remain the only club to have presented a serious offer.
However, Vlahović is reportedly reluctant to continue his career in Turkey at this stage.
That situation is said to have prompted the 26-year-old to contact Juventus and request an urgent meeting to discuss a possible return.
Ready to accept half his previous salary
The most remarkable aspect of the report concerns Vlahović's financial demands.
During the final year of his previous Juventus contract, he reportedly earned €12 million net per season.
Juventus had long insisted they wanted to reduce that figure dramatically in order to ease the club's wage bill.
Tuttosport now claims Vlahović is prepared to accept a salary of around €6 million per year, effectively cutting his previous earnings in half.
New sporting director could influence talks
The report also suggests that Juventus' recent appointment of Ricky Massara as sporting director could help facilitate renewed negotiations.
Massara is believed to be more open to finding a compromise than the club's previous leadership.
Meanwhile, Vlahović has continued training individually with a personal fitness coach while awaiting clarity over his future.
According to Tuttosport, he hopes to rejoin Juventus for the start of pre-season preparations next week.
The newspaper also highlights one symbolic detail: Vlahović has reportedly not yet emptied his locker at Juventus' Continassa training centre, fuelling speculation that his story in Turin may not be over after all.
