Andraž Šporar is close to joining Turkish side Alanyaspor, leaving Panathinaikos after limited playing time in Greece.
After limited playing time at Panathinaikos, Andraž Šporar has been actively seeking a solution during the winter transfer window, and it seems he has finally found one. According to our sources, the Slovenian international is set to sign with Alanyaspor, who are prepared to finalize his transfer from the Greek club.
The Ljubljana-born forward, a former Olimpija player and fan favorite of the Green Dragons supporter group, is expected to become one of the highest-paid players at Alanyaspor. The Turkish side has reportedly reached an agreement with both Panathinaikos and the player, bringing the transfer close to completion.
At Alanyaspor, Šporar will reunite with Slovenian teammate Jure Balkovec, who has already established himself at the club and recently extended his contract until June 2026. The club also previously featured Miha Mevlja, another Slovenian international.
Currently sitting ninth in the Turkish Super Lig, Alanyaspor will hope Šporar can bring additional firepower to their attack.
