Eder Militao strongly denied rumors linking him and Vinicius Junior to alleged cheating scandals after online accusations spread in Brazil and Spain.
Real Madrid are once again surrounded by off-field drama after fresh rumors involving Vinicius Junior and Eder Militao exploded online this weekend.
The controversy began after reports claimed Vinicius’ girlfriend ended their relationship because of alleged infidelity. According to the accusations, the Brazilian winger was supposedly spending time with other women while at home in Madrid.
Reports circulating online also linked teammate and close friend Eder Militao to the situation, claiming the two footballers invited women from Brazil while their partners were away.
Militao, whose wife is currently pregnant, has now publicly denied all accusations.
The Brazil international released a statement strongly rejecting the reports and insisting there is no evidence behind the rumors.
"In light of the recent speculation and accusations that have been circulating online regarding my name, I would like to clarify that all the information attributed to me is false and has no evidence."
"I am only focused on recovering from my injury and my family, especially my pregnant wife. The situation has shaken me greatly."
The defender also explained how strongly the situation has affected him personally.
"I have reached a point where I do not even leave the house without my wife. These are unfounded accusations of serious proportions. At this point, I ask for your respect."
Militao has been struggling with injury problems for a long period and is expected to miss this year’s World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
When fully fit, the defender remains one of the most important players in the Real Madrid squad and is widely considered among the world’s top centre-backs.
The 27-year-old has played for Real Madrid since 2019, but recurring injuries have repeatedly interrupted his momentum in recent seasons.
