Edin Džeko was the hero for Fenerbahçe, which pulled off a dramatic comeback against Rizespor to keep its Turkish Super League title hopes alive.

With Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe locked in an intense battle at the top, every point is crucial. Fenerbahçe found themselves in deep trouble last weekend, trailing 0-2 at home against Rizespor. However, a remarkable turnaround saw Džeko take center stage.

The 38-year-old Bosnian striker scored twice and struck the frame of the goal once, proving once again that he remains a key figure in José Mourinho’s squad. Despite the victory, Fenerbahçe remains three points behind Galatasaray in the standings.

Džeko has now netted 12 goals in the Turkish league this season. The league’s top scorer is former AC Milan forward Krzysztof Piątek, who has 18 goals for Istanbul Basaksehir.

Among the league’s biggest names, Victor Osimhen has also matched Džeko’s goal tally, further highlighting the Bosnian’s continued dominance despite his age.
