The Swiss-based CIES has confirmed that England has the most star-studded squad at Euro 2024. Will this carry any weight in the final?
The Football Observatory (CIES) conducted a thorough analysis of the market values of players set to compete in the Euro 2024 final between England and Spain. From the perspective of football market value, the English national team players are currently worth significantly more. Among the five most valuable players, four are from the Three Lions.
Even in the top ten, the English have an advantage, with six players on the list. The most valuable among them is Jude Bellingham.
Meanwhile, Spain has two players in the ninth and tenth positions (Pedri and Williams), with the most valuable player for La Roja being 17-year-old talent Lamine Yamal, whom CIES has valued at 156 million euros. The fifth most expensive player on the list from England is a substitute.
