Stuttgart's rising star Enzo Millot is impressing in the Bundesliga, but his €18 million buyout clause could see him snapped up next summer.
Enzo Millot, the 22-year-old French midfielder, has taken his game to a new level this season at Stuttgart. After showing promise last year, Millot extended his contract in January, but no one at the club anticipated his rapid rise in form.
Now, he is one of Europe’s most effective dribblers, with a market value reportedly around €40 million. Stuttgart originally signed him for just €2 million, making it a steal.
However, there's a catch: Millot’s buyout clause is far below his current market value, reportedly set at around €18 million. This low release clause could see him leave the club as early as next summer, a scenario Stuttgart fans dread given his exceptional performances so far.
In the Bundesliga this season, Millot has contributed three goals and two assists in just six matches, and he’s also found the net in the DFB-Pokal and the Champions League.
His outstanding form has caught the attention of France’s senior national team, with a debut expected soon. Millot, who has captained the U21 side, has been a key figure for Stuttgart since joining from Monaco in 2021, accumulating 79 appearances for the German club.
