This past weekend, Bayern Munich played its last home game of the season, and fans had the opportunity to bid farewell to two players whose contracts the club has decided not to renew.
35-year-old striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is leaving Bayern after joining from PSG in October 2020 when his contract expired.
Despite constant criticisms that he was not a 'prestigious' enough name for a club of Bayern's caliber, Choupo-Moting performed exceptionally well, scoring 38 goals in 122 appearances across all competitions for Bayern.
Unfortunately, Choupo-Moting could not bid farewell to the fans in person as he was absent from the last home game of the season due to illness.
Bayern fans were only able to say goodbye to full-back Bouna Sarr, who made a considerably smaller impact than Choupo-Moting during his four years at the club, appearing in only 33 matches.
