Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, former Bayern and PSG striker, joins MLS side New York Red Bulls on a deal until 2027 at 35 years old.
The iconic Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, a three-time Bundesliga champion and former Paris Saint-Germain forward, has finally found a new club after months without one. The 35-year-old striker will reportedly join the New York Red Bulls in the MLS, with his transfer set for January.

According to German reports, Choupo-Moting has agreed to a contract lasting until the end of 2027. This move marks a significant shift for the Cameroonian forward, whose impressive career has spanned top leagues in Europe.

Born in Hamburg, Choupo-Moting spent much of his career in Germany, representing clubs like Bayern Munich, Schalke, Mainz, and Hamburg SV. Internationally, he showcased his talent at Stoke City in England and Paris Saint-Germain in France.

Remarkably, no club has ever paid a transfer fee for Choupo-Moting. Every move in his career has been either as a free agent or on loan—a rare and unique distinction.

Choupo-Moting has also been a prominent figure for the Cameroon national team, earning 73 caps since his debut in 2010. He contributed 20 goals and 4 assists for his country.
