Everton have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Christian Norgaard from Arsenal for around £7 million, just one year after the midfielder arrived from Brentford.

Everton are set to strengthen their midfield after reaching an agreement in principle with Arsenal to sign Christian Norgaard for a reported fee of £7 million.
The experienced Danish midfielder is expected to complete a medical next week before finalising his move to Goodison Park. If the transfer goes through, Norgaard will become Everton's fourth signing of the summer.
The 32-year-old joined Arsenal from Brentford in a £15 million deal only last summer, but he struggled to establish himself in Mikel Arteta's squad.
Norgaard made 20 appearances in all competitions during his only season at the Emirates, although he started just one Premier League match, the final game of the campaign against Crystal Palace.
Despite his limited role, the former Denmark international collected a Premier League winners' medal as Arsenal secured the league title. He also contributed three assists in the FA Cup, although he did not score during his time in North London.
Everton see Norgaard as the ideal replacement for Idrissa Gueye, who left the club last month. His experience and defensive qualities are expected to add stability to the midfield.
Norgaard is set to join a growing list of new arrivals at Everton. The Merseyside club have already strengthened their squad with the signings of Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough, as well as Tyrique George and Merlin Rohl, who both spent last season on loan at the club before making permanent moves.
For Arsenal, the transfer would allow Norgaard to pursue regular first-team football, while Everton continue reshaping their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
