David Moyes, who left Everton 11 and a half years ago to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, may be set for a dramatic return. Following the dismissal of Sean Dyche by the club’s new owners just hours before their FA Cup clash with Peterborough, the Toffees are seeking stability, and Moyes appears to be the preferred candidate.
Under interim coach Leighton Baines, Everton advanced in the FA Cup, but the legendary left-back is not expected to remain in the role for long. Moyes, widely remembered fondly at Goodison Park, is reportedly the leading choice among both bookmakers and media outlets.
This potential comeback would see Moyes take charge of Everton for their final season at Goodison Park before moving to their state-of-the-art waterfront stadium.
