Stojanović finds new challenge in Poland after Serie A stint.
Slovenian international
Petar Stojanović is set to end his Italian chapter after three years that included stints with
Empoli,
Sampdoria, and most recently
Salernitana. The 29-year-old right-back from Ljubljana is seeking more stability at club level and, above all, a team where he can secure consistent playing time and a more prominent role.
According to our sources, Stojanović has found such an opportunity.
While Slovenian clubs
Celje and
Maribor were both interested in bringing the former
Dinamo Zagreb and Maribor player back to the PrvaLiga, neither was able to present a convincing financial offer or persuade him to return to domestic football.
Instead, Stojanović is now on the verge of a move to Poland, with
Legia Warsaw emerging as his most likely destination.
