Former coach Zlatan Ibrahimović, Fabio Capello, believes the Swede should take responsibility for the mistakes made in building the team.
The legendary Italian coach Fabio Capello didn’t miss the boastful words of his former player at Juventus, Zlatan Ibrahimović, who recently described his role at the club in the media with the following statement:
"I’m the boss, I’m the chief, and everyone works for me."
With Milan struggling this season and rumors already circulating about a potential coaching change, Capello believes that Ibrahimović should be less boastful and focus more on taking responsibility.
"At Milan, the first question should be who is in charge of transfer strategy. If Ibrahimović says he’s the boss, then the responsibility lies with him," said Capello.
"When you win a title, you must build on that foundation, not tear everything down. In recent years, Milan has brought in many attacking players, but where are the midfielders and penalty-box strikers?"
"Alvaro Morata is a different profile from Olivier Giroud, so the coach and the club need to make a tactical shift. I see eleven players scattered all over the field at Milan, but I don’t see a team. This has been an issue since last season," said Capello, who achieved great success as Milan's coach, even winning the European Cup.
